History

Bob Basham, a founder of Outback Steakhouse, and Nick Reader, CEO of MVP Holdings, co-founded PDQ in 2011 with the first restaurant in Tampa, Florida. As of March 2016, most of the restaurants are company-owned by the rest are owned and operated by independent franchisees.
