On The Border Mexican Grill and Cantina is an American casual restaurant chain specializing in Tex-Mex cuisine. Famous for their world-class fajitas and margaritas, their menu features a selection of Mexican favorites, which includes enchiladas, tacos, fajita grill, burritos, hearty homemade soups and fresh salads. The company takes pride on the very own “Guacamole Live,” which is a form of entertainment wherein their house chef prepare fresh guacamole on customer’s table side. On The Border Catering offers a customizable menu plan that features a variety of service options, which comprises of standard delivery, deluxe delivery, set-up and retrieve, and full-service catering.

Standard delivery features buffet food items that are all served in disposable containers and come with complete utensils. Deluxe delivery on the other hand comes with wire heating racks that are yours to keep, to maintain the ideal temperature of food. Set-up & Retrieve includes delivery, set-up of table decorations and breakdown. The most ideal option however is the Full-Service catering, which includes delivery, set-up of buffet station and tables, breakdown and full-service buffet attended by trained staff. They usually require at least a day in advance notice or placing of orders before the actual event. Catering orders may be placed through their website, hotline or in their local stores. They currently have more than 150 locations across the United States.

History

The first On The Border Mexican Grill and Cantina opened at the corner of Travis and Knox in Dallas, Texas in 1982. The three friends who were behind the concept of this restaurant conceived the idea of sharing border-style food to the world. Border-style meals generally mean authentic Tex-Mex cuisine that features mesquite-grilled meats, fresh ingredients, hand-pressed tortillas and made from scratch sauces. Their concept was proven to be an instant hit and soon they had to open new locations not only in the United States but in other parts of the world as well. With over three decades in the food business, the promise to remain committed in serving their patrons with fresh and high-quality Mexican inspired meals offered at an affordable price.
