History

Back in 1956, the first restaurant which opened in the seaside town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey was originally named Mike’s Subs. During that time, there weren’t a lot of burger chains or restaurants, so every business has to compete in terms of quality products and service. But Mike wanted to offer something new and different to the American community – the submarine sandwich. He capitalized on the influx of tourists and local residents with his unique product, and more importantly, by his customized approach to customers. The current CEO Peter Cancro who took over the business in 1971 changed the name of the store to Jersey Mike’s Subs.
