History

It was the brothers Eugene and John Jetts who founded Jet’s Pizza and its first location was opened in Sterling Heights, Michigan in 1978. Soon enough, the Jetts opened more locations and in 1992, they formed Jet’s America Inc. together with their cousins Jim Galloway, Jr. and Jeff Galloway. They were open for franchise in 1990 with the first Jet’s Pizza franchise opening in that same year. As of 2017, Jet’s Pizza has 24 wholly owned outlets and 312 franchises across 20 states.

What They’re Famous For

Jet’s Pizza is popular for its square Deep Dish Detroit style pizza, and the 8 Corner Pizza that the company trademarked. They have the Deep Dish Duo topped with premium mozzarella and another topping of your choice plus an order of their Deep Dish Bread. The 8 Corner Pizza has 8 deep dish pieces with premium mozzarella and your choice of toppings. The original recipe came from the founder’s mother and has been passed on over the years in secret since 1978.
