History
The restaurant was originally founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1971 as ‘The Keg and Cleaver’ by George Tidball. It started at a very small space in the Moodyville area of lower Lonsdale and gradually expanded its locations to all provinces and five states in America. The company is known for purchasing historic manors and then transforms them into dainty restaurants. One example is the Keg Mansion in Toronto, and another is the Keg Manor at the Maplelawn Estate in Ottawa.
