History

In 1992, Rodney Anderson opened two Pancheros Mexican Grill restaurants in Iowa City, Iowa and East Lansing, Michigan. Both were near university campuses, namely, University of Iowa and Michigan State University.

The chain now has more than 65 restaurants in the United States.
