History
In 1968, Taco House opened as small taco stand owned and operated by John Turner in Cheyenne, Wyoming. But in 1969, he sold its franchise rights to Harold W. Holmes and James Woodson who changed its name to “Taco John’s” in his honor.
As of 2016, the chain of taco-centric restaurants had 390 locations in more than half of the states in the country. It is, indeed, considered as one of the more successful mid-sized Tex-Mex chains in the United States.
