History
On 10 January 1969, Guss Dussin founded The Old Spaghetti Factory in Portland, Oregon. Emphasis must be made that the restaurants in the United States are owned by the original company, OSF International, based in Portland. The restaurants in Canada, however, are owned by a separate corporation, Old Spaghetti Factory Canada Ltd., with headquarters in Vancouver.
In both cases, nonetheless, the restaurants are Italian-inspired especially in terms of their menus. The key to their common success lies in the combo of full-service meals with affordable fast-food prices, as can also be evidenced in their catering services.
